We went to Minamata disease museum to learn about the facts and information of Minamata disease. The museum showed us all the scary pictures of the Minamata disease patients. One of the pictures was the patients scratching the wall. I learnt how Minamata disease came about. It was because of the Chisso factory discharging their harmful waste into the sea. Although they know it will affect the marine lives, they still discharged them into the sea. THEY ARE BEING VERY IRRESPONSIBLE, SELFISH AND INCONSIDERATE! As the mercury went into the sea, the fishes will 'drink up' the water. Then they will be polluted and the human beings will eat the polluted fishes. The Minamata disease came about like this! Next, we proceeded to a room and there was a lady whom her grandparents and parents contracted this disease and died quite early. I think she was very brave because although she lost her loved ones, she still shared with us her tragic experience.


Next we headed to make the soap. I did not know that soap is made of oil and Ithink they are being very environmental friendly.
